The New York Giants are easily one of the most storied franchises in the National Football League. They are the owners of four Lombardi Trophies (which trails only the Patriots, Steelers, 49ers, and Cowboys, and their 696 total wins are the third-most in league history. The last three years, however, have been less than stellar for the G-Men.
After going 3-13 in 2017 and 5-11 in 2018, the Giants went 4-12 in 2019, which gave them the No. 4 overall pick in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.
Bottom line: With expectations always high in New York/New Jersey, the Giants and General Manager Dave Gettleman have to get this pick right. That said, here’s who the oddsmakers at DraftKings believe they’ll select at No. 4 overall.
Odds courtesy of DraftKings as of April 13, 2020.
Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville (+400)
Becton will be one of the largest players in the league from day one of his professional career. The former Louisville standout measured in at the NFL Combine at 6-foot-7, 364 pounds with a 7-foot wingspan. He will be a bit of a project and his weight will require constant monitoring, but players with Becton’s size and surprising athletic ability are rare.
Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa (+350)
The Giants have needed offensive line help for several years (remember the Ereck Flowers debacle). Wirfs is big, physical, and athletic. He’s projects as more of a right in the NFL, but that’s actually fine for the Giants who have Nate Solder manning their left tackle spot.
Isaiah Simmons, S/LB, Clemson (+150)
Simmons has been slightly overshadowed by former Ohio State star Chase Young during the pre-draft process, but the former Clemson All-American should be a day one impact starter for whatever team ultimately lands him.
Simmons would fill a need for the Giants and is the type of hybrid defensive player that excels in today’s NFL.

- K’Lavon Chasson (+5000)
