The NFL has postponed the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens that was originally scheduled to be played on Thanksgiving night.
The game will now be played on Sunday afternoon.
The news comes after the Ravens experienced a COVID-19 outbreak within the organization early this week. As of yesterday, Baltimore reportedly had least 10 positive tests between players, coaches and support staff members.
The Ravens released the following statement on Monday morning after learning about the first positive test results:
“Late last night, we were informed that multiple members of the Baltimore Ravens organization tested positive for COVID-19, and those individuals immediately began to self-quarantine. We have started the process of contact tracing, and during this time, the Under Armour Performance Center will be closed, with all team activities conducted virtually. We will continue to work closely with and follow guidance from the NFL, team doctors and our medical trainers.”
Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins are among those who tested positive.
The news of the postponement wasn’t met with open arms among some players and analysts.
With the way things are going, there is no telling if this game will be played on Sunday, either.
