At the Las Vegas sportsbooks, there are two types of bettors: the public, and the sharps.
The sharps are generally considered to be professional gamblers. And their betting action almost always has a major effect on point spread and point total movement leading up to game time.
Before going on, it’s important to point out that the sharps look for specific numbers (point spreads or point totals) when betting (once that number moves, the sharps back off), whereas public bettors tend to simply look at individual teams (often times their favorite team).
With that being said, here’s a look at who the sharps are betting on in Week 7 of the college football season.

Indiana (-25)
The Hoosiers host a Rutgers team that has been outscored 130-7 in Big Ten action, making it easy to see why the sharps like this number.
The line here has since moved to -27.5.
Memphis (-3.5)
Memphis (5-0) travels to Temple (4-1) in this matchup. The sharps bet the -3.5 number so hard that it has since moved to -6.5.
Duke (-17)
Duke hosts Georgia Tech this week in what is expected to be a fairly lopsided game. The Yellow Jackets haven’t been very competitive in 2019, and have a loss to a FCS school on their resume (The Citadel).
Despite the sharp action, this line is still hovering around -17.
Missouri (-11)
Missouri (4-1) hosts Ole Miss (3-2) in this SEC matchup. The Tigers were upset by Wyoming in Week 1, but have since rattled off four impressive wins.
Sharp action has pushed this line to -12.5.
Ohio (-6.5)
Ohio hosts Northern Illinois in this matchup of traditional MAC powerhouses.
The sharps have been backing the Bobcats by a touchdown, yet this line is still hovering around -6.
Cincinnati (-6)
The 25th-ranked Bearcats travel to play a Houston team, whose coach was accused of tanking this season earlier in the week, in this matchup.
The sharps hammered the -6 number, pushing the current line to -7.5.
Air Force (-3)
Air Force (3-2) hosts Fresno State (2-2) in this Mountain West Conference tilt.
The Falcons are extremely tough to beat on their home field in Colorado Springs, especially when temperatures are below freezing (as expected on Saturday night).
This line has moved to -4.
